Hormone Health

Because our minds and bodies are more connected than we often realize.

Hormones can have a profound impact on mood, anxiety, body image, sleep, energy, concentration, and emotional well-being. Whether you’re navigating PCOS, perimenopause, menopause, or other hormonal changes, understanding this connection can be an important part of understanding yourself.

As part of my doctoral research in Clinical Psychology, I studied the prevalence of eating disorder symptoms among women with PCOS—a topic that continues to shape my passion for helping people make sense of the complex relationship between hormones, mental health, and body image.

In this section, you’ll find educational videos, insights, and resources exploring the psychological side of hormonal health, including PCOS, body image, food, and the emotional challenges that often accompany hormonal changes.

PCOS/PMOS and Perimenopause- Should this really be a taboo topic?

PCOS. Perimenopause. Hormonal changes. Our bodies changing as we get older.

These are things that affect so many women, yet we often don’t talk about them nearly enough. And when we do, the information can feel confusing, inconsistent, or buried under a lot of shame and misinformation.

It shouldn’t be this way.

Taboo Topics with Dr. Christy is a place to start the conversation.

Here you’ll find short, approachable conversations about PCOS/PMOS, perimenopause, and the hormonal changes that can affect our bodies, our emotions, our relationship with food, and the way we experience ourselves.

This isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about asking better questions, sharing information, and making some of these conversations feel a little less uncomfortable.

Because understanding what is happening in our bodies shouldn’t be something we have to figure out alone.

And I hope this becomes an ongoing conversation.

More information. More conversations. Fewer taboos.

Because maybe these topics were never supposed to be taboo in the first place.
